Caterina Lo Vaglio est née à Potenza en 1961 (Italie), ou elle passe les
cinq premières années de sa vie, puis c’est l’immigration vers la Suisse
à Kriens. Vers l’âge de 30 ans, elle découvre la création artistique et
surtout la peinture. Autodidacte, elle se passionne pour l’art figuratif
et expose en Italie où elle rencontre en 1995 deux Maîtres Italiens,
Giuseppe Onesti et Cesare Serafino avec lesquels elle participa et
travailla à différents projets dans le Triveneto, ceux ci eurent une
grande influence sur son style. En s’éloignant du figuratif elle donne
naissance à de nouvelles formes aux traits plus libres et spontanés
typiques de l’art abstrait. Formel ou informel, signes et graphies ou
construits géométriques font varier son style. Le geste séduit par le
sinueux mouvement vigoureux de la couleur, qui s’affirme sur la toile
comme protagoniste absolu. L’enchantement de formes et couleurs crée un
rêve, laissant faire à qui l’observe, son propre voyage.

suoi primi cinque anni d’infanzia, dopo di che la sua famiglia emigra in
svizzera a Kriens. Verso l’età di 30 anni, scopre la sua passione per la
creazione artistica e pittorica. Segue, infatti, un percorso didattico -
esplorativo individuale ed espone in Italia. L’incontro nel 1995 con due
grandi maestri italiani, Giuseppe Onesti e Cesare Serafino con i quali
partecipa e lavora a diversi progetti nel Triveneto, allarga
notevolmente gli orizzonti di applicazione della sua arte.
Allontanandosi dal figurativo scopre nuove forme dal tratto più libero e
sciolto, tipico dell’astrattismo. La gestualità seduce per il sinuoso e
corposo movimento del colore, che si afferma sulla superficie come
protagonista assoluto. L’incanto di forme e colori crea un sogno, che
lascia fare a chi l’osserva, il proprio viaggio.

Kriens. Around the age of 30, Caterina discovered artistic creation,
paint above all. Autodidact, her passion focused on figurative art,
leading her to expose in Italy, where in 1995 she met two Italian
Masters, Giuseppe Onesti and Cesare Serafino. Together with them she
participated and worked at several projects in Triveneto, which strongly
influenced her style. Distancing herself from the figurative, Caterina
brings to life new forms, freer and more spontaneous, typical of
abstract art. Her trait seduces by the sinuous and vigorous movement of
colour, which asserts itself on the canvas as absolute protagonist. The
enthralment of shapes and colours creates a dream, allowing who observes
to wonder on his own.

ersten fünf Jahre ihrer Kindheit verbringt, um danach in die Schweiz
nach Kriens auszuwandern. Im Alter von 30 Jahren entdeckt sie ihre
Künstlerische Kreativität und vor allen die Malerei. Als Autodidaktin
begeistert sie sich für die figurative Kunst und stellt ihre ersten
Werke in Italien aus, wo sie 1995 den beiden Meistern Giuseppe Onesti
und Cesare Serafino bege gnet. Mit ihnen kann Caterina Lo Vaglio an
verschiedenen Projekten im Triveneto mitwirken und wird maßgeblich in
Stil und Technik beeinflußt. Mehr und mehr vom figürlichen Abstand
nehmend, ruft sie neue Formen ins Leben, die durch freie und spontane
Pinselstriche typisch für die abstrakte Kunst sind. Die ästethisch
anmutenden und wellenförmig auf die Leinwand aufgetragenen Formen
stechen durch ihre kräftige Farbgebung heraus. Die Verzauberung durch
Form und Farbe läßt den aktiven Beobachter eintreten in eine Welt der
Träume, der Wunschträume.
